Legault, Monique
Monique is known for her artistic talents and her undeniable passion for colour and design. Opening her own studio at the age of 20, she creates from landscapes to portraits, paints on canvases to walls and everything in between. Her murals grace the walls of retirement homes, churches, restaurants and many private homes. Now, with the support of the City of Greater Sudbury, her murals beautify public spaces and she continues to create large scale murals, and community projects.
This 40 under 40 recipient has supported herself over the last 25 years by creating art for private collections all over the world. Monique’s photorealistic style lends itself to all forms of art, she creates a wide variety of artwork in various mediums and styles. She mostly focuses on northern landscapes that reflect the environment that surrounds us such as Manitoulin Island’s rocky shores, sharing its beauty with the world. She has a studio in the art district of Sudbury.
